  1. I would like to go bowling as you can see in class that most people would like to go bowling too . I can make it anytime during the holiday except between 18 - 20 march as for the timings and the venue , I would let you all to decide and the cost would have to depend on how many people are going as it is counted per game , per person .

  2. I suggest we can have a bowling activity but the problem is that we will need a lot of lanes due to the number of us if the whole class is going. The cost might be around $4-$6 per person in each lane. And you will still need to pay for the shoes.

Another idea is a swimming activity but we will have to pay the entry fees ourselves.

One idea i have is a class chalet but i think it is too expensive. An idea like that will be good in the year end holidays.

  3. Maybe we could go for a movie or have a barbeque, although that may be expensive...

  4. Would you like your parents to come with us? Eg. adults vs teens for bowling??? Just a suggestion.

  5. How about going to a Theme Park?

  6. Swimming is definitely a no for me! But i think the most practical idea is still to go to the theme park, escape theme park at downtown east, as the entrance fee is only around 8 bucks, and on school holidays, it is opened till 8 pm. Going to escape theme park will be very fun, and it will also be quite cheap too! I should suggest not bringing any adults maybe except for Ms Choo as adults usually spoil the fun by nagging :).

  7. I think that theme parks are definitely out of the question, because the downtown east do not really have alot of interesting rides, the que is pretty long and it is located at the far east of Singapore.
I think the bowling idea is pretty good. Because may part of Singapore has bowling center and it is fun. I know at Marina there is a bowling center with a pretty big Arcade beside it so that maybe a suitable place if we were to choose bowling.

  8. @Niklaus Exactly we should hold something light and not like a chelet or theme park. Bowling is a good start off.

  9. Yup I agree and if we go to the Bowling Centre at Marina , we can still go and play at the arcade after we are done bowling or maybe before we start bowling so I agree . Hope that Preston can arrange something like that during the March Holidays

What about going to watch Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief? Si Yuan says its good. Its $10 for tickets. I suggest GV plaza cinema 'coz its near the MRT.

  11. We should make sure and set a date that everybody can go first. Minimum money needed should be at least:
1.$30 for bowling e.g shoes(i have my own) and payment and food.
    2. $40 for a movie as we cannot bring in stuff so we have to buy food which is rather expensive. Extra money(included in the $40 i mentioned) in case we need to eat later on.
3.NO for a theme park. If one of us gets lost we will waste a lot of time searching for the person. And the girls may not want to be with the boys and may want to go on different rides at the same time. Rendezvous point is ridiculous in a large theme park.
4.Barbeque can be at my house but can't provide all the food. We will have to pool in money. Refreshments are on me. Swimming is also available.
5.Chalet is expensive but also reasonable and fun and barbeque is good too. 1 chalet for guys and girls. But we will have to split the money equally as there are too little girls. I suggest we go pasir-ris(rayner can book first to avoid crowds)but parents must be able to fetch and able to stay for a night or two. Rayner please help us to book at Costa Sands Resorts & find out the prices.

  12. Sorry for I am unclear for suggestion number 5. Parents must be able to ALLOW their kids to stay for a night or two and maybe fetch them back if there is no MRT nearby. I hope Preston can make the time-table on the activities to make this fun. Swimming trunks are needed and luggages with clothes depending on how many days we are staying. Utensils are optional. Toothbrushes needed. We can meet at Clementi interchange before we go for the trip or your parents will fetch for to Pasir-Ris. Rayner can wait for us at the entrance of the resort and take attendance. I really hope we can go to the chalet.

  13. I would prefer bowling as it is more suitable but may have to book first as quite a few lanes are needed. ( At least 4 ) And no parents...

  14. But I think bowling is the most simple and least troublesome. We can take MRT to bukit batok CSC club. Got swimming, bowling and arcade

  15. I can actually book a chalet at down town east as my mum says that she is a member and she has some offer in booking the chalet but of course we need to split the share . She said that a chalet in Down Town East would cost around $230 for 3 days two night sleep over as there are no 2 days 1 night available in Down town east chalet . She also said that she can fork out the food and those that one to stay over night can stay over night but they need to bring their own necessary needs of course . So think about it and tell me if u all can confirm a date so that i can ask my mum to book in advance or there will not be any rooms available . And I need remind u all again that I will not be available on 18-20 of March 2010 . So pls dun make the activity between these dates because I would like to join in this outing too !!!

  16. CHALET is a GREAT IDEA i love the idea actually. Anyway, for SOME reasons, the chalet at Costa Sands is quite small (I went there last year with 40 friends and we were like so cramped) and the room size is the same. The girls are expected to stay in one room but the ratio is 6:17 which doesn't makes sense as if we are to split equally we need to book 4 rooms (no 3 rooms) and that will be quite a waste of money as well. Perhaps we could leave this idea to the end of the year and stick with the bowling suggestion for now?

  17. A chalet would be AWESOME.
Though maybe reserving that idea for the June holidays would be much better. And YES, the chalet is DAMN cramped. Its like the classroom floor area/3.
So I agree with bowling but i still suggest a movie.

  20. But i have a question about the chalet part because i think it would not be so cramped as the last time Jia Le went was having 40 people but now we only have 23 people and what's more , I dun think everyones parents would allow their child to sleep over . So I dun think it will be too cramp and even if it is we can book 2 rooms or 3 rooms as if we book 1 room , all of us only need to pay for like $10 and 2 rooms for $20 each and as i said earlier , my mother can sponsor us the food .

  21. I prefer a chalet be booked on July or end of school as we would have less trouble and can take our time planning instead of rushing in one week. So if all are crossed out the only one left would be bowling :) I can help the whole class to book at CSC bukit batok 'cause there would be a good place and they provide training bars for the beginners and girls. So, is everyone set with the idea? Preston, what do you think?

  22. I think it's better to go to down town east because if go to the CSC bukit batok bowling centre only got the bowling centre but i think go downtown east better because until now also go people still dis-agree on where they want to go but if we go downtown east, we can actually split up and go where ever the people want to as in downtown east also got bowling , got arcade and also got theme park :) so i think there is a good place :)
